Joining the choir

We are a friendly community choir, conducted by our Musical Director, Carl Speck. No audition is required and everyone is welcome to join us – the only qualification needed is the simple joy of singing. We have a varied repertoire to cater for our wide tastes (and ability). The group was started in 2005/06 and has grown and evolved over the years from its modest beginnings and is currently about forty strong.

    • Hi Aoibheann. Sorry, only just seen your post…do come along this Wednesday and see if you like the look of us!

  1. Hello! I’d be really interested in coming along but understand so near to Christmas this might not be ideal-would it be better to start in the new year?
Look forward to hearing from you!

    Sally

    • Hi Sally, you’re very welcome to join any time. We’re currently mid-way through rehearsing for a Christmas concert, so if you’d rather join when we’re all learning a new repertoire, you could wait until January. Either way, we hope to see you soon.

  2. Hello,
I would like to come along next week or the one after, but will you be rehearsing during the summertime or will you be taking a break?
    Thanks!
    Floriane

    • Hi Floriane,

You’re very welcome to come along in the next few weeks – we’re currently refining the repertoire for our summer concert.

Yes, following our rehearsal on the 12th and concert on the 15th July we’ll be taking a summer break. We’ll be back in September, exact date TBC, so keep checking our calendar here.

      Hope to see you soon!

      • OK, thank you! I think it probably makes more sense to join you in September, but I’ll see to come and see you sing πŸ™‚

  4. I would like to join the choir on April 18th. Belting out Abba songs took me back to my youth!
