We were thrilled to put on our annual Christmas concert in front of a full house at St Mary’s Church in Putney on Saturday evening.
Well-known yuletide favourites like Walking in the Air and Do You Hear What I Hear filled the air, as well as hidden seasonal gems like Eric Whittacre’s The Seal Lullaby and Home Alone’s Somewhere in my Memory.
Interspersed among numbers sung by the entire choir were beautifully intimate performances of Little Donkey, White Christmas and Winter Wonderland by smaller groups of 3 and 4 singers.
And, as has become tradition, the audience took to their feet and joined in with rousing renditions of a few much loved-carols.
Thanks to everyone that came along to watch and support us, including the Mayor of Wandsworth, councillor Jane Cooper and our very special guests from Regenerate Rise – our chosen charity who do such wonderful work supporting the isolated elderly in Putney and Roehampton. We’ll be back for a new term on Wednesday 8th January – everyone’s welcome and you can find out more about joining us here.
